Product Introduction
The premium audible only backup parking sensor system alerts the driver to the distance of obstacles behind the vehicle while reversing. It comprises of 4 sensors, a central control processor and a buzzer. The buzzer produces on audible warning inside the vehicle.
How it Works
• When reversing, the 4 rear sensors (in bumper) send ultrasonic waves (4 times per second) that detect obstacles behind vehicle. The controller receives signal & transmits to LED display/speaker. The front sensors are always on unless the system is in reverse. If vehicle is powered, the front sensors are sending out sonar waves to detect objects, and front sensors are designed to assist drivers park vehicle in garages and parallel parking.
REAR: Speaker emits long intermittent beeps when objects are within 4 to 6 feet of when vehicle is in reverse . As vehicle moves closer to obstacle, the beep increases in frequency. When vehicle is within 1 foot or less to obstacle, the speaker emits a continuous sound.
FRONT: LED display activates (speaker does not emit sound like rear sensors) when objects are within 3 feet from front of vehicle as long as vehicle is on and not in reverse.
• Premium VFT LCD (3.3” by 1.5”) displays in feet how close object is to sensors. LCD screen is 2 color with indicators for which side of vehicle an object is detected. The speaker is integrated into LCD display and has a low/ high volume setting.
• Rear power is supplied by tapping into reverse lights; system is activated only when vehicle is in reverse. Front sensor power is tapped into accessory power and is activated when vehicle is on.
