Are you interested in a backup sensor but you do not want to install the product yourself? If this is you, we have a solution for you. 

RBS is apart of a nationwide installation network of over 5,000 installers. We can identify a certified, experienced and convenient installer for you that will install this product for you. Installation rates vary depending upon type of vehicle, which product you choose and the area of the US that you live in, however, the range of installation charges start at $75 up to around $175.

Here is how it works:

FIRST: Call RBS or place your order or order online. Add “schedule local installation” when purchasing online or inform customer service rep that you would like to add this service when you order. If you call into RBS, many times this $20 service fee can be reduced or waived.

SECOND: Inform us the type of vehicle that you have in the notes or inform the customer service rep when you call. Within 1 business day from date of order, you will receive an email that informs you the installation company name, contact name, address, phone number and an approximate quote.

THIRD: Contact installer and set up convenient time to get product installed. Time of installation is usually 1.5 – 2 hours. You will pay installer for install at time of installation.

That’s it! In almost all cases, the cost of product plus cost of installation is less than purchasing this product with a new vehicle.

Many customers have the skills and expertise to install the backup sensors without professional assistance. Installation is very simple and only takes 1-2 hours total.

There are 3 main aspects of installation to understand:

1. Drill holes in bumper. This is easy, we provide the drill bit that is perfectly fitted for the sensors.

2. Tap power from controller to the reverse back light. You need to identify which wire is the reverse back light and then you just tap into this wire.

3. Run speaker or LCD up to the front of the vehicle by hiding the wire underneath the carpet or corner panel.

These are the 3 main aspects of installation. If you believe that you can perform  the installation, you will save $75-150!!

RBS offers 2-3 different colored sensors. Black and unpainted is offered in most models, while white is offered with other models. 

If you would like to get your sensors painted to match the exact color of your sensor, this is an option for you to consider. RBS recommends that you take the sensors to a professional body shop/collision center and typical costs for this is around $10-15 per sensor.
